WHY FEED [FERTILIZER]

Fertilizing plants is a must to ensure healthy plant growth.  Generally, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium need to be added regularly.  The percentages of these nutrients are labeled on fertilizer packages. For example 5-10-5, means 5 parts nitrogen, 10 parts phosphorus and 5 parts potassium.

Nitrogen aids in strong leaf and stem growth and promotes dark green leaf color. Too much nitrogen causes soft foliage and delays flowering, while not enough nitrogen causes stunted growth and leaf yellowing.
Phosphorus is needed for root development and also helps the plants to flower.  Not enough phosphorus causes stunted plant growth.

Potassium improves plant hardiness.  It also helps in seed production and improves the size and quality of the flowers.  Not enough potassium causes reduced flower size.

There are different fertilizing methods Liquid or Granular. WE recommend Liquid because you have complete control over the amount released. If you use a Granular some release with the amount of water used or by how hot is, therefore if it rains or it is hot the amount of feed could be to strong for the plant. This can burn the roots killing your flowers. Use a complete water-soluble fertilizer like Miracle Gro? ,Rapid Gro? ,or Peters ?. Frequent watering leaches out soil nutrients quickly and you'll need to fertilize regularly.
