Plant Geraniums outdoors after all danger of frost is past and the soil has warmed up.Geraniums need at least four hours a day of direct sunlight in order to flower well. Water after planting, and continue to water regularly, allowing the soil to dry out between watering. Never allow the plants to wilt or the leaves will turn yellow and drop off. Keep water off the foliage to prevent the development of disease. Soil for geraniums should be well-drained. If you grow Geraniums in containers use containers with adequate drainage holes and choose large pots to hold enough soil for a good root development.Geraniums respond well to fertilizer and are stunted and yellowed if not provided enough nitrogen. A general 20/15/20 water-soluble formula works well on Geraniums.
MULCH the bed to maintain moisture levels and keep the soil cooler in summer.

DEADHEADING
Another factor in successful GERANIUM culture is "deadheading" Deadheading is the removal of the dead flowers from the plant, enabling the annual to produce more blooms because the plant stops any seed production.
